Mountain the Falcon, like many other Crimean peaks, has a second name in the Crimean Tatar language – Kush-Kaya (Bird’s Rock). The height is 474 meters above sea level and it is located between Sudak and Novy Svet. Along root of the mountain is a twisty asphalt road that connects these two inhabited localities. Interestingly, there is no other way to the Novy Svet besides this road.
The upper point of the Falcon is located in the western part (left in the photo). You can get it two ways – from the Novy Svet with a wooded trail and from the road Sudak-Novy Svet. This trail goes through a rocky part. At first it abruptly rises to a Devil’s Finger (it is clearly visible at the photo), and then goes along the ridge to the peak.
I’ve shown this tree yet. It grows in the upper right side from Devil’s Finger (if you look at the previous photo)
Dawn you can see a thin line of the road from Sudak to the Novy Svet. Far are visible Sudak, Cape Alchak and Cape Meganom.
There is active tourist traffic on the Falcon summer, mountain-climbing is not too easy, nor hard. There is resort area near. And you can see gorgeous views to the sea and the surrounding mountains.
The sky. There is rarely sole-coloured sky. As I come here, always see floating clouds in the sky.
The triangulation tower. There is the highest point of old coral reef where you can have rest and enjoy the view.

The Northern slopes of the Falcon.
By the way, the South wall of the Falcon is very popular among climbers. Here are the routes from 1 to 6 categories of complexity. Here I managed to overhang for making the picture almost perfectly smooth southern wall.
Many people climb here to see this – Green Bay, the Novy Svet and mount Koba-Kaya.
Koba-Kaya zoom. In its lower part is passes the Golitsin path, I’ve told about it earlier.

To fully know the trail on the Falcon I’ve decided to descent in the direction of the Novy Svet. Visually, this trail is longer, it passes to the wooded slope. Its upper phase has a very unpleasant site on a steep scree slope.
The rocks at the foot of a Falcon.
At the bottom you can see colonies of prickly pear.
Is unusual to see opuntia in the neighborhood with coniferae.

Novy Svet is meeting us.
Don’t you want to stay in a barrel?) (An advertise “for let”)
It was a very hot day. Therefore, this guide is actual. We are going for a swim and then back to the camp.
